Having a migraine is a terrible experience.

Some people with migraine have first symptoms like nausea or vomiting, slurred or muddled speech and dizziness.

Once the initial symptoms clear, people also get pain on one side (may swap sides), temporary numbness on the affected side, cold sensation,thumping or throbbing headache or dehydration, thirst. Not all of the symptoms are always present.

A whole host of triggers will effect a migraine in people who get migraines. For example...

  • VDU/TV screens
  • Caffeine
  • Shock
  • Toothache, pain in the sinuses
  • Bright or flickering lights
  • Hunger, lack of food
  • Alcohol, especially red wine

    If you commonly get migraines consider keeping a diary of what could have caused the migraine. If you identify the trigger you can eliminate it
